Love 6 string drop a. Sure, I could do 7 string, and having an extra low string to what’s already there in e standard gives you a good range across the neck, but 6 string is way more familiar to me.

I think after drop g it looses its punch. That being said my fav band acacia strain sounds heavy as balls and they primarily use drop f

What string gauges do you use? I believe, your iron label ibanez is 25.5'' scale-length - sixth string should be not less 0.64 - 0.68 and so on
